Entry 10: Let's Watch the Future
About the time our original thirteen states adopted their new constitution in 1787, Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh , had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years earlier:
Entry 9: Economy Meltdown
I bet everyone's heard of the doom and gloom of the financial meltdown that's going on. From what I'm told (by people smarter and older than me) this really a big deal as the United States is something of the corner stone of the world's market. The euro is rapidly in worth, large corporations are falling, people are losing jobs, businesses are closing their doors, people are losing their retirement funds. It's the end of the modern world as we know it! However, I still see people's obnoxious Hummers driving to and fro.
Entry 8: Gaming Reviews
Before you purchase a video game, today you can look up some major site like IGN or Gamespot and get a "review" of the game followed by a 0-10 score to see if you may want to purchase it or not. This is an excellent idea if reviewers weren't retarded.
Entry 7: Pro Gaming
I'm sure most of you are familiar with gaming. Pick up a controller or load a PC game and you know what I mean. But every now and then a game concoction of being developed well, supported and boasting the right credentials of being a competitive game can lead to games like Starcraft, a game in which countries like Korea has multiple television networks devoted to covering the game, the leagues and the contestants that play in the tournaments which can rewards with hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Entry 6: Precious Opinions
I once heard it said (or rather I read this) that only experts should have opinions. The idea behind it is people put too much value and protection on opinions and not enough emphasis on backing up their words with wisdom, facts and experience. It's true too.
Entry 5: Epiphany
Entry 4: Naruto Uzumaki
There's a loud and obnoxious orange blur that won't stop screaming and being a hero on your TV set named Naruto. You can typically find the feisty kid training diligently to become a stronger and smarter ninja to one day become the Hokage (essentially the king of his village) and gain the respect he thinks he deserves since he was a child. My point of bringing all of this up is why we, as people, should be like Naruto.
Entry 3: Low Flying Aircraft?
If you drive past an airport and a road is perpendicular to the direction of how planes take off you may see a sign that reads: "Low Flying Aircraft". This makes sense seeing as how air planes typically fly thousands of feet above the ground and when they first take off or land they are considerably lower than when in mid flight.
Entry 2: PETA's Plan
